SPRING has provided some picture-perfect inspiration for the children at Albury West Primary School.
They have created several art works expressing “spring” from their point of view, from blooming flowers, buzzing bees, sunshine and clear blue skies.
A wall exhibition of the pictures officially opened yesterday with a morning tea for the school’s families.
Harris Riddell, 11, was one of the budding artists involved and said it was a real team effort.
“It was fun, I’m pretty sure all the kids enjoyed it,” he said.
Albury Art Gallery visual arts co-ordinator Bianca Acimovic said such projects were important to develop arts in the community.
“Each of us would recall childhood moments when our work was acknowledged publicly, just as this project is doing,” she said.
The efforts were recognised with an award certificate and prizes.
The work will be on show at Centro Albury until April 11 next year.
