The policies the Coalition goverment wishes to introduce are not looking at the long-term benefits for Australia.
In 2003 Telstra stated the copper was “at five minutes to midnight” Telstra then reiterated and said the copper had another “10 to 15 years”.
Parts of the network have been neglected over the years leading to dropouts and terrible internet speeds.
I’m quite keen to see if Malcolm Turnbull’s cost analysis of the NBN includes any estimates on copper replacement and repairs, because with the current network there is no possible way they can reach the promised speeds.
