MILLINER Leanne Bensley has found a market for her decorative sculptured headpieces and she’s sticking with the twilight event.
Albury Council is calling on residents with hand-crafted items or those who want to supply fresh or baked foods to register a stall at the twilight markets.
The markets, held every second Thursday in QEII Square from October until March, will start on Thursday week from 5pm.
Mrs Bensley has been exhibiting at the markets since their inception in 2011.
“The market is a great way to get your name and product out there,” she said.
“It’s such a great atmosphere, people sit on the grass and enjoy the gourmet food available.”
While Mrs Bensley started making headpieces as a hobby, she also sells her creations on eBay and said the market had opened a whole new platform.
Council trainee events officer Mandy Bland said this year’s markets were shaping up to be one of the biggest yet with 50 applications.
“If you sell something unique and are interested in participating in these fantastic markets then we want to hear from you,” she said.
