A WOMAN accused of bashing a man with a baseball bat outside an Albury home will reappear in court next month.
Appearing briefly at Albury Local Court yesterday, Simone Antonie, 35, is facing a charge of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, relating to the February 18 incident.
It’s alleged Antonie and a co-accused, Joseph Michael Brooks, were involved in an attack on the victim outside a Thurgoona Street unit about 7.20pm.
The victim suffered a fractured skull and broken jaw with treatment provided in a Melbourne hospital.
It is alleged the attack took place after a texting “war” between the victim and Antonie.
A brief of evidence, including 150 photographs, was tendered to the court yesterday.
Magistrate Tony Murray adjourned the matter to a November 8 committal hearing, at which time submissions from representatives for both Antonie and the Director of Public Prosecutions will be heard.
Antonie remains on bail on a $5000 surety.
Brooks will appear in court on Monday.
