THE eight-hour search for a missing Sandy Creek man had a happy ending after he was found on Thursday night.
The 78-year-old man was found knee-deep in a neighbour’s dam about 10pm but was all right.
Sgt Wal Larkin said the man’s wife held concerns for her husband, who has early stages of dementia.
“He was working with his wife on their property and he’s walked to the shed and never came back,” he said.
“He went missing about 2pm and she has called police in to help about 6pm.”
Police from Wodonga, Tangambalanga, Mount Beauty, Tallangatta and volunteers from the State Emergency Service took part in the search.
