PROTECTIVE clothing has saved a motorcyclist from serious injury after he came off his bike at Falls Creek yesterday.
Mount Beauty Leading Sen-Constable Jason Frede said the Sydney man, 56, was riding on the Bogong High Plains Road yesterday.
At 11.40am at Wallace’s Gap, near Falls Creek, Sen-Constable Frede said the man swerved after hitting loose gravel on a left-hand bend before falling from his bike.
The rider suffered a suspected broken shoulder and went to Albury hospital.
Sen-Constable Frede said the man’s protective leather clothing saved him from further injury.
“He certainly didn’t have any gravel rash. His suit took most of it,” he said.
