THE Hume Cricket Association could play a Twenty20 competition this season.
While president Tim Sanson said yesterday the association was eager to attract a fourth team, officials are also toying with the idea of introducing a new format.
“We still want a fourth side, but Twenty20 is something we will look at if that doesn’t come off,” Sanson said.
“Nobody wants to throw in the towel.
“We will fight the fight and see what happens.”
The association, which formed in 1961, will hold a meeting next week to explore its options after North Albury Knightriders withdrew from the league on the eve of the season.
