THE HSC exam period is usually about four weeks but a few this year don’t have that “advantage”.
James Fallon High School captain Jake Austin and his classmates had their first exam yesterday.
And after all the study, Jake’s exams will be done in just over a week.
Such a short exam window is rare and Jake said only one other student at his school would finish as soon.
“I think it’s a disadvantage,” he said. “I’d prefer my exams spaced.”
Jake said getting exams done so quickly might suit some but he did not see it that way.
“I don’t need free weeks while everybody is still studying,” he said.
This week he has two English as well as a physical education and design and technology exams.
The three-hour break he has between exams today he will spend cramming.
His “trick” was not to confuse himself with too much information.
Jake will finish his HSC next week, following classmate Jayden Head who will complete his exams next Tuesday.
