COROWA Pool operators have eliminated spectator fees and reduced season passes in a bid to boost patronage this summer.
Mayor Fred Longmire welcomed the scrapping of the spectator fee required to be paid by supervising parents attending the pool.
The charge was $2.50 per visit last year.
The pool operation this season has been sub-contracted to Debra North by the Ball Park caravan park operators, Andrew and Sonia Palmer, who addressed the council on plans for the season in August.
The season passes for family ($215), adult ($100) and child ($80) are all down $10 on last year’s figures.
An adult entry fee has risen by $1 to $5 and children will be charged an extra 50 cents to enter.
The charges were set by the lessee and were ratified by the council yesterday.
The council is in negotiations with Mr and Mrs Palmer and Ms North about buying inflatable aquatic equipment.
The pool season will start on November 2 and close March 30, but will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
