ALBURY’s hot dog van could reopen in two weeks.
A majority of city councillors are expected on Monday week to exempt the late night stall from having to hire a security guard.
Owner Brian Judd pictured inset, said if Juddy Dogs got the nod he would be back on the corner of Dean and Olive streets by November 1.
“If we get the rubber stamp we’ll be open obviously the following Friday,” he said.
“That’s what we want to do, we want to get back in business and we’re excited at the prospect.”
Despite police opposition, the planning committee this week voted 5-2 to recommend an exemption.
Mr Judd thanked the committee for being “good, fair and reasonable” and considering the application on its merits.
