A TRUCK driver was lucky to escape serious injury after his prime mover slid 20 metres down a Thurgoona embankment early yesterday morning.
The driver was headed north on the Hume Highway about 5am when he lost control while exiting the north-bound off-ramp.
Albury police Inspector Lynelle Rodwell said the driver drove into a safety barrier and 20 metres down an embankment.
She said the driver was fortunate to not suffer major injuries after the truck and trailer flipped several times.
The man was taken to Albury hospital with minor injuries.
