A TEENAGE girl this morning woke to find a man allegedly pointing a large knife into her cheek and holding his hand over her mouth.
The girl, 17, was sleeping at a house in Resolution St, Albury, when the man, 20, allegedly forced his way into the home about 4.30am.
Police said the pair became involved in a struggle before the girl escaped through a window.
A man, 19, who had been asleep in the same area then became involved in a fight and followed the alleged intruder out of the house.
Police then became involved in a face-off with the man who reportedly threatened himself with the knife before he was struck by an officer's Taser gun.
The man has been charged with two counts of detaining someone for advantage as well as aggravated break and enter, commiting an assault occasioning actual bodily harm and using a weapon to avoid apprehension.
