A WANGARATTA man was charged this morning for an alleged car-jacking in the town yesterday afternoon.
Detective Sen-Constable Mark Hussey, of Wangaratta, said the man, 54, was charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment, theft of a car and assault with a weapon at 1am this morning.
The man was remanded to face Wangaratta Magistrates' Court on Monday.
It follows an alleged car-jacking of a BMW with its driver still inside on Greta Road near Wangaratta at 3.15pm.
The driver was left at Ryans Lookout in the Warby Ranges.
The car was found dumped in Yarrawonga yesterday afternoon.
