A WANGARATTA man will face court on Monday accused of a car-jacking in the town on Wednesday.
Detective Sen-Constable Mark Hussey said the man, 54, was charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment, theft of a car and assault with a weapon at the Wangaratta Police Station at 1am yesterday.
He was remanded in custody to face the Wangaratta Court on Monday.
It follows an alleged car-jacking of a BMW with its driver still in it on Greta Road at 3.15pm on Wednesday.
The driver was left at Ryans Lookout in the Warby Ranges, and the car was found dumped in Yarrawonga.
