A ZOMBIE apocalypse took over QEII Square yesterday and is set to invade Albury’s Entertainment Centre tonight.
The Retro Youth team has organised an all-ages zombie apocalypse dance party that is aimed at 13 to 17-year-olds.
Young people are encouraged to dress as a zombie.
Retro Youth Cafe volunteer Stephanie Meachen, 18, was in charge of making the fake blood as a group of teenagers prepared their zombie costumes for tonight.
“It’s glucose syrup, red food dye and a little bit of blue food dye, to make it darker,” she said.
“It’s better to make it thick and sticky because it stays on longer.”
The James Fallon High School student will be dressing up as a “zombified red riding hood”.
Sound and lighting will be provided by PartyOz Entertainment, with song requests being emailed to the retro team all week.
It kicks off at 7pm and will finish at 10pm.
Tickets are limited and available pre-sale at Albury Entertainment Centre or at the door for $10.
