HENTY skipper Chris Manns is hoping his team can bounce back from a “rusty” first-up performance when it takes on Osborne in their Holbrook and District clash at Osborne today.
The Swampies struggled badly with the bat against Culcairn with Manns identifying that as the major concern.
“Hopefully we can improve,” Manns said.
“We struggled last week.”
Henty has suffered some sizeable losses with Grant Forrest and Daniel Terlich playing in Wagga while Paddy Murray has joined Cricket Albury- Wodonga club North Albury.
The Swampies have regained Al Meyer and Sean Joyce.
Osborne brothers Nick and Harry Perryman will be pivotal in the Cats’ success under the captaincy of Andrew Madden.
Meanwhile, Holbrook plays host to TRYC.
The Magpies came up short in the opening round but should hit back strongly with several Holbrook youngsters trying their hand in CAW ranks this season.
Culcairn has the bye.
