BUDDING young chefs have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the kitchen at Wodonga Children’s Fair tomorrow.
Preschool students from Southern Rise Children’s Centre yesterday got a taste of what it would be like to be a chef, with the theme of this year’s fair “what I want to be when I grow up”.
Wodonga Council’s free event will see children take part in cooking classes, electronics workshops, geology and chemistry workshops.
There will also be three stages of live performances, interactive arts and face painting.
The main stage will feature nationally acclaimed children’s entertainment, including The Great Gizmo! Invents a Gizmo, The Other Theatre Company with When I grow up, and Captain Pete.
The fair has been running since 1990 and will be held at Wodonga Racecourse from 10am to 3pm.
There will be a free shuttle bus running to and from the fair hourly from 9am to 3.30pm, with details at wodonga.vic.gov.au.
