YARRAWONGA’S Breanna Elliott is one of 10 Australians teeing up in this week’s final stage of the LPGA Qualifying School.
More than 150 golfers from across the world will play the 90-hole tournament on two courses at the LPGA International Golf Course, Champions and Legends courses in Florida, the top 20 earning a tour card to the women’s US circuit.
Elliott, 21, started overnight as the second group on course alongside American Meaghan Francella and South African Melissa Eaton.
It is her second attempt at Q school, last year she was knocked out in a seven-person play-off for the final four positions.
he will be joined this week by Rebecca Artis, Stacey Keating, Frances Bondad, Julia Boland, Emma de Groot, Stephanie Na, Corie Hou, Kristie Smith and Inhong Lim.
Elliott started in seven LPGA events this year but missed the cut in five of those tournaments.
