No doubt the Quinn brothers would argue the letter J is where the similarities end, at least as far as their music sensibilities are concerned.
The pair strapped on their guitars yesterday and joined about 150 others at the Border’s X Factor auditions, held at Albury Performing Arts Centre.
Josh, 22, and Jeffrey, 19, auditioned as solo acts and as a duo.
The pair serenaded The Border Mail with their version of Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars in the middle of snapping a quick photo — and as far as we’re concerned they’ve got the goods.
But will the judges agree?
Josh sang Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls for his audition, before they joined forces for their acoustic rendition of One Direction’s Little Things.
“We just figured that’s what sells,” grinned Josh.
Though they won’t know the outcome of their audition for a little while yet, both were relaxed about the day.
So what happens if they both get selected as solo acts? Can they handle the sibling rivalry?
“Nah, I reckon I’d do better,” ribbed Josh.
In the meantime, Border residents will catch the brothers performing down Dean Street — but who knows for how much longer.
