A WOMAN, 38, has died in a car crash on the Hume Highway at Table Top this morning.

Police said a north-bound car ran off the highway about 500 metres south of the Olympic Highway turn-off some time overnight.
The crash was reported about 6.20am after another motorist found the silver Holden Astra lying upside down on its roof.
It is not known how the car came off the road.
Forensic police are on-scene and one northbound lane of the highway has been closed.
Any witnesses who saw the car travelling along that stretch of the highway have been asked to contact police.
