Wodonga police Sen-Constable James Donovan said a man kicked the front window at Fitness24 Seven in Thomas Mitchell Drive as he walked past at 3.25am on November 2.
It caused $1800 worth of damage with the attack captured by the gym’s security cameras.
Sen-Constable Donovan said police wanted to speak with a man they believe can help with the investigation that was captured on closed-circuit television footage in Church Street at 3am.
The man in his early 20s, has brown hair, is of medium build and 175 centimetres tall and was wearing a high-visibility work shirt at the time.
Sen-Constable Donovan encouraged the man to come forward or anyone who can identify him to phone police.
