BROWN Brothers’s executive chef Douglas Elder has been inspired after a seven-week food and wine adventure in southern Italy.
He will present a four-course dinner, A Taste of Southern Italy, on Saturday evening at Brown Brothers’ Patricia’s Table at Milawa.
“The dinner will draw on the experiences that I had with food and wine while travelling,” Elder said.
“From visiting local markets, to eating in restaurants, to visiting wineries, to staying with friends in their home, I enjoyed a wide range of experiences on which to draw from.”
Each course will be a dish from a different region, inspired by Elder’s travels.
Brown Brothers wines and Italian wines from the regions and wineries Elder visited will feature.
He will discuss the dishes, the wines and the regions that they come from during the dinner.
