In a huge boost to the Cats’ chances of improving on last year’s preliminary final berth, the duo shape as huge inclusions as the club attempts to make ground on reigning premier Echuca United.
The pair played with Old Melbournians this year.
Morrison, who won Finley’s best and fairest in 2012, will form a lethal on-ball partnership with Ryan Bongetti while Seccull shapes as one of the league’s premier key forwards.
Club president Ashley Haynes said yesterday the signings had the township buzzing.
“We’re rapt to get the boys back,” Haynes said.
“They are both great players and, with work on the multi-purpose clubrooms starting, it’s been a good week for the town.
“We think we’ll be very competitive.”
Finley will also be strengthened by the return of Charlie Hawkins, the brother of Geelong star Tom.
Another plus for the Cats is that 11 members of the premiership winning third grade team will also be pressing for senior selection under coach Damian Sexton.
“We’re lucky to have some really good kids,” Haynes said.
Finley will kick-off its season against Numurkah.
