A big crowd always makes it way to Wodonga for the popular race meeting with club manager Tom O’Connor confident of another huge turnout.
For the first time the club is building a temporary deck along the front straight for the public to view the racing action.
“We are building a big deck where people will be able to come along and sit under an umbrella and watch the races,” O’Connor said.
“It will be an area that anyone can access and enjoy the day.”
Apart from the racing, there is plenty of fun and free activities for children with Loopy the clown, jumping castle, Kelly sports games, pony rides and face painting.
For adults there is the XXXX Gold beer garden and large deck area to relax and have a drink, mechanical surf board, sumo wrestling and photo booths.
There will also be a big screen televising all the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
Music will be provided by DJ Zuckr and duo Steph and Jimmy Vogel.
Nominations for the six-race non-TAB meeting will be released tomorrow.
Gates open 11.30am.
The first race should start about 2.00pm.
