10.02AM: A DRIVER was trapped after his truck rolled on the Midland Highway near Benalla this morning.

Benalla police said the Cobram truck, which was carrying live pigs, came off the highway and rolled near the intersection with Tocumwal Road about 8.50am.
Leading Sen-Constable Gordon Paterson said the driver was trapped for several hours but has since been rescued. His injuries are unknown but they are believed to be non-life threatening.
Meanwhile, several pigs were killed and many more are roaming around the scene of the accident.
Police, paramedics, firefighters, council workers and the RSPCA are all on-scene.
Several road diversions are now in place but it is not known which roads are affected.
