The State Emergency Service in Wodonga is looking for volunteers to help paint inside its headquarters as part of an upgrade.
Community help has already come in, with Keating Plasterers donating plaster and frameworks valued at $50,000.
Wodonga SES Unit controller Dave Huxtable said the time had now come where they needed some painters.
“We’ll provide materials but we just need the expertise,” he said.
“You’ll be providing a better facility for the SES to better serve the community.”
Mr Huxtable said they were also looking for people to donate used or new carpet squares, and new volunteers were welcome any time.
