Lyn, who wished to be known only by her first name, said she had heard a loud thud at 2pm.
She and those around her had soon realised a second level of ceiling above the covered area had collapsed.
No one was injured in the incident, with the first level of the ceiling protecting club patrons.
Lyn said she had felt scared when she first heard the noise.
“We heard a loud bang,” she said.
“For a brief second, the wall shook.
“We didn’t know what to think. We thought it might be a tornado.”
Lyn said club management had quickly evacuated the area.
“Security told everyone to get out,” she said.
“I think they were afraid of pressure on the main roof.”
Lyn said the area was found to be safe and patrons were allowed back in.
She was happy with how the club handled the incident. The club declined to comment.
