Police said two armed men, reportedly disguised in hooded jumpers, masks, caps and coats, demanded cash at 7.30am on Monday, December 23.
The employee told police he was forced to open a safe and hand over thousands of dollars in cash.
Albury detectives are investigating.
Kinross owner Nic Conway said the robbery occurred during the Christmas trading period.
“At the end of that busy Christmas period everyone’s worked hard and we’ve been happy with how everything has been travelling and it’s been a kick in the guts,” Mr Conway said.
