Bodsworth was the first competitor home in a course record for the 50-plus men of 37min.14sec.
He was followed by Josh Roy (38.17) and Scott Melgaard (38.29).
Young guns Hugh McMahon and Ryan Allen combined to produce the best results of the day, finishing in a blistering 34.28.
While not placing in the top-three women, Paddianne Archdale still managed to set a course record for the 50-plus women, finishing the 300-metre swim, 13-kilometre ride and three-kilometre run in 46.06.
Heidi Poole was the first woman home in 41.20, followed by Emma Thompson in 44.04 and Stacey Loccisano in 44.05.
Tom Freire was first male junior across the line and Torah Harley-Wilson the first junior female.
The event attracted 61 competitors.
