POLICE suspect a fire was deliberately lit in Thurgoona this morning in a week where temperatures are set to soar above 40 degrees.

Albury police Inspector David Cottee said about 50 metres of grass was burnt at the equestrian centre on Thurgoona Drive at 12.20am.
Insp Cottee called for anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information to phone Albury police on (02) 6023 9299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
