TWO people have died and a third person has been air-lifted to Melbourne with critical injuries following a single-vehicle crash at Baranduda this afternoon.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed the two passengers died in the crash but was unable to release any other details at this stage.
She said the driver, believed to be a male, had been airlifted to the Alfred hospital with critical head injuries.
Victoria Police Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are making their way to the scene.
It is understood the crash occurred just before 4pm on the Baranduda Boulevard, about two kilometres from the Beechworth-Wodonga Road.
Emergecy services are on the scene and police have closed the road to traffic; motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.
