Wallaby Sekope Kepu suffered in the heat but paid homage to the ground and the crowd.
“The pitch was awesome and it was a great crowd,” he said.
“It’s a real credit to the town and the people to be out here in the heat.”
It was Rebels captain Scott Higginbotham’s first visit to Albury.
“I’ve played a lot of trials but never with a crowd like this, it’s great to get so many people.”
Rebels coach Tony McGahan said the public support and ground were first class.
“The ground was fantastic and talking to the Waratahs guys they were impressed too,” he said.
“We have all had a great time in Albury-Wodonga.”
