Joel Daniel Bickerdike, 23, of Latchford Barracks, appeared in Albury Local Court yesterday on seven charges.
It is alleged he crashed a Ford sedan between 10.13pm and 10.20pm on June 26 with a blood alcohol reading of 0.082 and three passengers in his vehicle suffered serious injuries.
Magistrate Tony Murray was told Bickerdike intended to enter a plea of guilty to a charge of mid-range drink- driving.
But he is defending the dangerous driving offences with the preparation of a police brief of evidence required.
The charges are back in court on March 25 for the allocation of a hearing date.
