Sandra Ball, formerly of Yerong Creek, was to have been sentenced during the current sittings of Wagga District Court, but yesterday the case was stood over until the next sittings start on March 24.
The matter was listed for mention yesterday to set a sentencing date this week, pending the receipt of a psychological report following Ball’s appointment with a psychologist on February 10.
Ball’s barrister, Michael King, told Judge Phillip Mahony SC his instructing solicitor, Chris Murnane, was not available on the only day he was able to make sentencing submissions this week.
Judge Mahony was reluctant to stand the matter over to March because he did not have a feel for how much work was on the list for the judge to do during those sittings.
But he agreed to adjourn the case.
