It was a wire-to-wire performance from Richmond, which dominated for long portions of the NAB Challenge clash to claim a 48-point victory in warm conditions at Norm Minns Oval.
The Tigers kicked nine of the last 10 goals to sprint away from the Magpies, with Trent Cotchin kicking four goals and gathering 33 possessions.
He was ably supported with Ty Vickery also kicking four majors and Brett Deledio and Dustin Martin both racking up 32 touches.
For Collingwood, Ben Reid kicked five goals and Travis Cloke added three, while Scott Pendlebury added 29 possessions.

Collingwood closed to within 67-62 mid-way through the third quarter but the Tigers steadied through goals to Bachar Houli and Ty Vickery to take a 17-point lead into the final quarter.
Dustin Martin has 25 touches for Richmond, while Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury have 22 and 21 possessions, respectively.

It was a better performance from the Magpies in the second quarter but a nine-point SuperGoal to Richmond's Matt Arnot has helped the Tigers to a 21-point advantage at the long break.
Local product Ben Reid has four goals and Travis Cloke has two majors for Collingwood, while Trent Cotchin and Sam Lloyd both have two goals apiece for the Tigers.
