More than 100 players across several sections competed in the tournament from Friday night with Lilydale pairing Warren Miller and Peter Gilbee fighting out the Section 1 final.
Best of the locals were Albury’s Gus Sutton who won the special plate in Section 1 and Bright’s Chris Photis who won the plate final in that section.
Organiser Kate Smith said the event continued to raise the profile of squash on the Border.
“There are six rounds of the Masters each year and this is the second year in a row that we have hosted one of these rounds,” she said.
“We have had 104 players here this weekend and while the majority are from Melbourne we have also attracted players from Canberra and Tasmania.
“These days we are a club run centre so the money we make from hosting these tournaments goes back into the facility.”
