At the weekend Victorian Premier League club Bulleen beat Canberra FC in a penalty shoot-out in the inaugural event.
Albury United and Wodonga Diamonds played out a 0-0 draw in the consolation final.
Diamonds had in the pool rounds knocked over recently promoted Victorian premier league outfit Boroondara Eagles.
United coach, and man behind the inaugural Cup, Daniel Foden said it was an overwhelming success.
“At the end of the day we had the coaches from both sides talking up coming back next year, Canberra talking about bringing two teams,” he said.
“With other clubs showing interest I believe we will be able to get 12 teams next year, play it over the Saturday and Sunday.”
