Rob Coletta, president of the Essendon and District league club, told The Border Mail O’hAilpin was free to join the Ovens and Murray heavyweight this season.
“He’s been cleared,” Coletta said.
“We cleared him about three days ago.
“He’s right to go.”
The Sharks blocked the former Carlton rookie’s first attempt at being cleared earlier this month, however, Coletta denied standing in O’hAilpin’s way.
“There was never a problem,” he said.
O’hAilpin is set to team up with high profile brother Setanta at the Albury Sportsground this year after both players joined the Tigers over the summer.
Albury co-coach Daniel Maher said he wasn’t expecting any problems getting Aisake cleared.
“We don’t expect too much trouble,” he said.
“There’s obviously a process to go down with this stuff and we’ll let that take its path.”
Albury will hold its annual intraclub match at Wodonga Senior Secondary College tonight.
