Border residents celebrated 50 years of the Albury Council venue with a cocktail party last night where this year’s theatre season was launched.
A new theatre season membership has also been introduced to mark the milestone.
Mr Maher said the season membership was a way to offer discounted rates for members.
He said theatre wasn’t just for adults.
“We have three productions for kids this season and that’s more than we normally have,” he said.
“People of all ages can enjoy theatre, it’s something that is seen as an experience.”
The season kicks off on April 2 with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra’s new popular classics program, Viva Vivaldi.
