The kitchenware, gifts and homeware store, which has operated in Wodonga for a decade, plans to open in Albury late next month.
The Wodonga shop is in Elgin Boulevard, which is closed at the moment for road works and slower trade has given the couple time to prepare their Albury launch.
“If it is harder for people to do their shopping they look for an alternative,” Mrs Lourie said.
“It was a good opportunity to focus on getting Albury up and running.
Home Inspirations operated in High Street before moving to larger Elgin Boulevard premises, occupied by Matthews Cycles until late 2011.
“It’s a great business and the growth we’ve had since we relocated has given us the confidence to come to Albury,” she said.”
The business is hiring staff for both stores.
Brands in stock will include Kitchen Aid, Maxwell & Williams, Essteele, Anolon, Circulon, Global, Krosno, S&P and Victorinox.
The couple also plan to expand their range of furniture.
The Wodonga store will face the long-awaited Mann shopping centre which could be opened by late next year after Wodonga Council approved an amended planning permit was approved by Wodonga Council this week.
“We knew the long- term plan was for something to go there,” Mrs Lourie said.
“It is too good a space to remain as it was.
“It is wonderful seeing them demolish the old buildings, knowing there is some happening.”
Home Inspirations will occupy the shop previously occupied by Howard’s Storage World.
