Pigeons destroy Roos

RAND stitched up the Brocklesby and District Cricket Association minor premiership with a 176-run hiding of Brocklesby at Rand on Saturday.

The Pigeons were relentless in making 6-227 and bundling their opponents out for 51 in reply.

Opener James Kreutzberger led the way with 66, his 137-run second wicket partnership with Ryan Kirkwood (53) putting the home team in the box seat.

Karl Schilg top-scored for the Roos with 12.

Balldale edged out Burrumbuttock in a thriller.

While the Swans could only manage 8-95 off 35 overs, they bowled superbly, with only some resistance from Alex Wilson (35) bringing about their downfall.
