The Nationals member for Murray Valley will become the parliamentary secretary for tourism and trade.
The new job, which sees Mr McCurdy, supporting the minister in the same portfolio, follows a reshuffle ordered by Premier Denis Napthine.
Mr McCurdy's fellow Nationals Tim Bull, Damian Drum and Russell Northe will become ministers as part of the shake-up.
The member for Benalla Bill Sykes, who has indicated he will retire at this year's Victorian election, will remain as parliamentary secretary for primary industry.
