Harrington Hair claimed the national title after defeating two Sydney salons to earn the NSW-ACT prize.
Salon owner Rachel Burns, who travelled to Brisbane to receive the award last weekend, said it was a reward for toil.
“I would just say hard work, determination and a never-give-up attitude,” Ms Burns said when asked what she thought had won her salon the honour.
“You should live your dream and you never know what will happen.”
Ms Burns joined salon manager Rebecca Ivey in Brisbane when they received advice from the daughter of hairdressing great Vidal Sassoon.
“It was a great experience to be a part of the finals just being in the room with some of the great icons in the hair industry including Eden Sassoon,” Ms Ivey said
Mocha Publishing, publisher of Hair Biz, created the awards.
