The laid-back affair to toast the upcoming arrival will be whimsical and simple with no nappy games or Kardashian-style fuss. ''There will be no Mars Bar spread in the nappy tricks! Just a lovely neutral theme, and my friend has made a cake and Hoda has organised cupcakes and flowers, and mum has organised the food,'' she says.
The stylish fashion blogger, who has never looked more chic, is 30 weeks' pregnant and looking forward to celebrating the life changes around the corner, telling S she is preparing herself for motherhood and cosily nesting.
''I'm excited to meet this little baby. Everything is going well and we are keeping [the gender] a surprise. But I know this is going to change my life in such a big way and I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. I think the thing I am most looking forward to, and am really excited for, is just that bond,'' she said. ''It's so unique. You know that unconditional love you see between a mother and a child? That's what I think I'm looking forward to the most.''
In trademark style, Waterhouse said she has no birth plan in place. She and her husband, former Rooster Luke, are happy to go with the flow, although a baby-moon may be on the agenda pre-birth.
''Just whatever is best for the baby. That's the only plan!''
There may be one male guest at today's shower, and it won't be her husband Luke. ''Dad is bound to pop his head in - he'll be dragged along, for sure!''
In other baby news, television presenter Kelly Landry and her accountant-slash-skipper husband Anthony Bell are again celebrating becoming parents with a baby sister for their girl Charlize, 2, welcomed into the world on Wednesday night.
''It's a girl!'' announced a delighted Landry, who had been on bed rest for some time. ''After a very long wait, we are so happy to welcome Thea Elizabeth into the world today. Everyone is doing well. We couldn't be happier.''
Meanwhile, former WAG Lynette Bolton has revealed to S she is expecting her second child with husband and former Swan player Jude.
The happy couple are preparing for the newest member of their family and sibling to Siarra, 2, with bubba due mid-September.
Lynette is co-creating and co-presenting The Wedding Planner Workshop at The Pullman Hotel in Sydney Olympic Park next Sunday, April 6, with guest speakers including bridal designer Henry Roth, for budding wedding planners or brides to be.
''With the timing, it's lucky Jude isn't playing footy this year,'' Bolton laughed of the arrival.
''I am very keen to find out the sex of the bubba, but Jude is still unsure. Siarra is being very cute already, kissing my belly and telling us she wants to have a little brother so she can cuddle him and share her toys,'' Bolton said.
Speaking of brides to be, chatter at The Stables event on Wednesday night said The Bachelor Tim Robards is about to lose his single status permanently, with talk about whether he was about to pop the question to girlfriend Anna Heinrich. S does have it on good authority the couple are indeed ready to move in together, with Heinrich said to be soon moving out of her family home in Moore Park. Whether there's a diamond ring being packed as well, we'll keep you posted.
Housewife hell
A fireworks spectacular is set to go off today as the Real Housewives of Melbourne reunion episode is taped, with all six women - Andrea Moss, Jackie Gillies, Lydia Schiavello, Chyka Keebaugh, Gina Liano and Janet Roach - fronting at the Foxtel studios in Melbourne armed with some serious ammunition, including legal letters and the C-bomb.
With designer Alex Perry sitting in the middle of the crossfire at the helm of today's taping, there are sure to be more than a few sequins and hair extensions flying.
Chatting to S last week, blonde property developer Janet Roach - who admits she comes across ''like a two-faced bitch'' in the show - revealed life at the moment is a living hell.
''We're just living in Housewife hell, all of the girls are really upset. It's just taken over our lives,'' Roach laments to S. ''Sunday is coming up and we can talk about the stuff that went on behind the scenes, and we can justify our actions and we're all dissecting everything that was said.
''I'd rather eat bloody insects than go to the reunion. It's going to be the shitfight from hell. Already so many legal letters are flying around saying, 'You better not say that or that'. ''Mainly Andrea and Lydia are fighting with Gina,'' she says.
Roach, who despite the dramas has agreed to return for series two, claims Liano threatened to sue everyone all the way through production.
''Gina did so many nasty things behind the scenes. It'll come out in the reunion. Gina did terrible things to Jackie - none of that was aired. As soon as the camera comes on, she goes into calm, cold, courtroom mode, whereas the other girls show their emotion and aren't trained in doing that.''
The single mum of two said shooting on the series was stalled continually due to the legal dramas played out backstage.
''Gina came out smelling like roses when she did so many things to upset everyone … She had sent Andrea and all the girls a legal letter threatening to sue them if they defamed her partner in any way; she kept going on about how she was going to sue and her partner had much more money than them,'' Roach says.
''And Andrea wanted to ask her about it, but production said 'no' at the last minute, as Gina had threatened to sue everyone, so we weren't allowed to say anything … That's what the audience are not seeing and why Andrea is now being subjected to so much social media abuse.''
Insiders on set say Liano, being a barrister, only knows one type of speak, and that's legal-speak. ''Every time she's challenged about someone, she sends a cease-and-desist letter, because that's how she is - but there's never any follow-through.''
The insider also says at no time was the TV show hindered over the legal dramas. ''She made threats, but they never went anywhere.''
For her part, Liano said last week: ''I never sent it to them. I sent one to the producers and I cc'ed the girls in … I've explained what 'cc' means … but it's not getting through to them, so for businesswomen they are not very cluey.''
In scripts you couldn't write, the recent episode saw Liano call Moss and Schiavello the C-word and she joked an upcoming book by one of the housewives should be called Two Brain Cells and a Vagina.
Tonight's episode also sees Moss take exception to Liano's pancake face - which she leaves on the towels at Moss' Mornington Peninsula getaway with the classic line: "It's just disrespectful. Gina knows I don't have a cleaner at the beach house, so who is going to clean up her make-up?''
Roach, a longtime friend of Liano, says: ''I thought, 'Jesus, Gina, I keep sticking up for you, but you keep shitting on these girls!'''
For today's reunion, Roach plans to stick to the truth, despite pressure.
''I'm not playing camps,'' Roach says. ''And I told Gina that yesterday. I'm on no team. I'm on Team Janet, and I'm just going to stick to the truth. They're all going to hate me, as I'm probably the one who knows all the answers.''
Good luck, Alex!
Taking his mum's message on board
He's a surf star on a mission. But it's not surfing that the world No. 13 pro-surfer Julian Wilson is fanatical about. It's family.
Wilson's mother, Nola, is a breast cancer survivor, and the cause is so close to his heart that he rides boards decorated with her artwork and wears pretty pink boardshorts she designed to highlight early detection and the ''check your breasts'' message for young girls.
His latest range of Oakley sunglasses is called The Breadbox Julian Wilson Signature Series.
''The pieces so far have a touch of my mum's artwork on the frame -a slightly different canvas to a surfboard, but she likes to be creative! I'm a breast cancer national ambassador due to the fact mum had breast cancer when I was younger.''
Wilson, 25, who dates model Ashleigh Osborne, with whom he lives in Bondi, says he can't wait to start his own family.
While surfing is his life, he is family-oriented and clearly preparing for the future.
''Whenever Ashleigh has time off she can travel with me on the circuit, and I'm teaching her to surf. And while I'm wholly and solely focused on what I need to do to achieve my goals on the surfboard - and I do get really cool opportunities along the way - there are guys in the top five who have won world titles with three kids and have been travelling with them on tour for 10 years! It's not impossible.''
