Unknown element for Roos

DENILIQUIN Rovers coach Luke Moodie admits he doesn’t know what to expect this year after a tumultuous off-season.

The Roos have been rocked by player turnover, with best and fairest winner Todd Gallagher (Deniliquin Rams) the most notable departure.

Like last year, Moodie’s side will take an element of the unknown into the season.

“Obviously we want to see results early but like last year, it might take a few weeks for the boys to gel,” Moodie said.

“Unfortunately, it’s hard to keep guys these days and we’ve had a few ins and outs.

“We’ve had some good hitouts during the Barooga night series against quality opposition and we don’t think things are looking too bad.”
