Ms Weisser, who will finish up the role in July, has been chief executive since the organisation was formed in 2011.
Ms Weisser said there had been “significant milestones” during her tenure, including multi-purpose services being built at Gundagai and Lockhart and work to upgrade Wagga’s hospital.
“Working in rural health is not easy and there is always more we would like to do, but this district is served by a highly skilled and dedicated workforce,” Ms Weisser said.
Board chairwoman Gayle Murphy said Ms Weisser had shown strong leadership and the board was keen to build on her achievements.
“In a period of change, we will work with staff and communities to move forward,” she said.
