Wodonga police seized dried cannabis valued at about $1000 and a similar amount in cash from a home in Wahgunyah yesterday.
First Constable Dimity Hinch said a Wahgunyah man, 21, was arrested at the home and charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and possessing the proceeds of crime.
He allegedly told officers he could not get a job and had been selling the drug to support his family since July.
He was bailed to face the Wodonga Magistrates Court in June.
Constable Hinch said the seizure and arrest was a result of information from the public.
“It’s a reminder to keep your eyes open,” she said.
