The Border outfit led from the outset, jumping to a 16-8 early advantage and a 29-21 first quarter scoreline thanks to Jamar Briscoe’s long-range marksmanship.
Briscoe was well supported by veteran Nick Payne, who wound back the clock in the first half to help his team to a 50-42 lead at the half.
The Supercats hit back in the third quarter and took their first lead of the match with less than a minute left in the term on a Liam McInerney basket.
Briscoe hit two threes and set up another for Alex Opacic with five minutes left to snatch the lead back for the Bandits.
But the visitors couldn’t hold on, with a late surge by Mike Mercer and Nathan Herbert sealing Geelong’s seven-point win.
Briscoe had his top score as a Bandit with 29 points and added five rebounds and three assists.
Payne added 21, while Momo Ntumba (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Opacic (11 points, 10 rebounds) also had their moments.
The Lady Supercats were far too good for the Lady Bandits, thrashing the Border team 95-54.
It was a another horror shooting performance from the visitors, hitting just 21 of 77 attempts.
Import Emilee Harmon had 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Montana Farrah-Seaton added 11 points and five boards.
But Lauren Angel, coming off 27 points last week, struggled to 10 points while missing 13 of her 18 shot attempts.
