The Tawonga woman, 29, was rounding a sharp bend heading west on Happy Valley Road near Myrtleford.
Her bike and a white Mitsubishi ute turning out of Blacks Lane collided.
A Myrtleford woman, 36, in the ute suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The fatality came less than two weeks after a Moyhu man, Grant Finger, 42, died in a crash at Greta South.
Happy Valley Road was closed for about three hours after yesterday’s accident about 2.20pm.
So far this year, 77 people have died on Victorian roads; six more than the same time last year.
Highway patrol Leading Sen-Constable Bruce Howell said the police were “shattered”.
“It’s really disheartening to have two happen so close together,” he said.
“Both the people in the crashes were relatively young.
“It’s devastating for everyone concerned that their lives have been cut short.”
Leading Sen-Constable Howell said investigations into the cause of the Rosewhite crash were ongoing.
“It was on a rather sharp bend and the visibility wasn’t that good because of the long grass,” he said.
He warned motorists to drive safely over Easter.
“Most of these accidents are preventable,” he said.
“People travelling at all over Easter, including local drivers, need to look carefully, don’t speed and arrive at your destination safely.”
