STEPH Elliott is more than just a damn good runner.
She’s also been a fine recruiter for the Nail Can Hill Fun Run over the years by dragging her parents, Paula and Peter, and younger sister, Olivia, along.
Brother James was also a chance to run this year before injuring his knee playing football for Yarrawonga.
“We have ran in Nail Can for the past four or five years,” Peter said yesterday.
“With Steph being a reasonable runner, we thought we might as well go along and make a family day of it.
“We all like our running.
“We try and get around and do most of the fun runs in the area.
“It’s a good family day and is something we can all do.”
The Bundalong family will “warm up” by running the Beechworth Fun Run today.
Steph took out the 10-kilometre women’s event last year among a 660-strong field and also won the under-20 division event at the St Kilda women’s breast cancer fun run and her age division in the City to Surf in Sydney.
While the majority of competitors will take part in the 11.3-kilometre run, a Half Can, 4.3-kilometre event, is also proving popular.
